Background: As a child we moved around a lot all over the west and I became influenced by the Southwest.

After many years and retirement, I moved from Bozeman, Montana to Southwest Utah for all of the geological formations and sandstone colors.
Although I’m basically self-taught, I attended 2 years of Art College in Spokane, Washington.
My Art:
It comes from a deep need to always be creating something. I like many mediums; however, oils resonate with me. I love the flow and buttery feel of oil application.
My art has been focused on landscapes and mindscapes. Living in Southern Utah has been nothing but awe inspiring. The flat top buttes, craggy peaks, fiery sky’s, never ending cloud formations and sandstone colors. Utah seems to have an abundant amount of inspiration for landscapes.
It was hard to find a genre that covered mindscapes so here’s my interpretation. “Mindscapes” are my dream world on canvas. I bring out forms that are anamorphic and zoomorphic. They depict how I feel and dream about world music, cultural images/stories and indigenous symbols.
